Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing a full bellied photo shoot with Katie and her family and I must say, everything went right! Katie is in her last month of pregnancy and carrying herself, her belly and her family in complete strength and grace.
She was a sight to behold and her family just as delightful. The afternoon light was perfectly streaming in her kitchen window, the room was warm and smelled like dinner was going to be deeply nourishing.
Many thanks to Katie and her family and millions of blessing for this lucky little baby who will be with us by this time next month. Safe and peaceful journey home into your mother’s arms.
Ordinary Miracle-Barbara Kingsolver
I have mourned lost days
When I accomplished nothing of importance.
But not lately.
Lately under the lunar tide
Of a woman’s ocean, I work
My own sea-change:
Turning grains of sand to human eyes.
I daydream after breakfast
While the spirit go egg and toast
Knits together a length of bone
As fine as a wheat stalk.
Later, as I postpone weeding the garden
I will make two hands
That may tend a hundred gardens.
I need ten full moon exactly
For keeping the animal promise.
Transmuted anyway
By the most ordinary miracle.
I am nothing in this world beyond the things one woman does.
But here are eyes that once were pearls
And here is a second chance where there was none.
Wow, Stunning!!!
So beautiful!
